Sharon Luther Biography
On the heels of a very successful career in Information Technology (spanning 23 years!), Sharon Luther decided to try making art.
She began by dabbling in watercolors and then moved on to oil paints, focusing on countrysides in her hometown of Chester, PA.
In 2019, Sharon and her husband, Jim, relocated to St. Augustine, FL. There she transitioned to creating resin-based beach scenes.
Sharon became fascinated with glass and proceeded to make a collection of stain glass windows and mosaics.
After that, Sharon took up quilting as a way to stay connected to her daughter, Taylor, who lives in Seattle, WA and is a modern quilt designer (@toadandsew).
Most recently, Sharon has been exploring Art Quilting (a style that focuses on design over traditional blocks and patterns), using fabric and stitching to collage artistic designs on fabric.
